With around 1,500 players for over 20 teams, Old Albanian RFC is a large organisation that benefits from around 150 volunteers giving up their time for the benefit of the club and its members. Whether it’s being on the committee, coaching a team or volunteering on the gate, the club is always looking for new people to get involved.

Role Title Summary
Romans Manager This is a key role in the operation of the senior club. It involves organising the Men’s Roman’s Team (2nd XV). Tasks will include:

  • Ensuring the players are available and communicating arrangements with them
  • Confirming the details with opposition, match officials and making any necessary arrangements
  • Ensuring all match day kit & equipment is organised and ready for the team, then returned after the match
  • Managing the team in conjunction with senior players and coaches during matches.
  • Ensuring completion of any match day paperwork / admin
Marketing Manager

Having spent a lot of the off season working on Social Media and Websites we’re looking for someone to come in and work alongside our Social Media Manager.

The individual will have a key role in creating content, managing the publishing of that content, assisting the club in finding new avenues to reach our audiences.

Gate Assistant On 1st XV match days the club can host hundreds of people who are coming to watch the match. Ensuring these people feel welcomed, find their way in, get parked and pay their entry fee is a key role. The gate is run by volunteers from the club and typically members offer to do a couple of matches per season, but the guys can always use more help.
Data Manager The management of data has become of vital importance to organisations of all types and we are no different. Player information, results, financial records, club archives etc all have to be looked after and managed. Increasingly Rugby Clubs are required to provide this information to the RFU and other bodies, so being organised is vital.

For the first time OAs are looking to bring in someone to help manage and utilise the mountain of information that the club has and is generating on a regular basis.

Web Manager We are looking for an individual or individuals to help with management of the club website.

This role could be folded into the Marketing or Data Manager roles if so desired, but involves;

  • Publishing news articles, match reports and previews
  • Updating match results and fixtures
  • Uploading photos / videos
  • Ensuring our sponsors and partners pages are kept up to date
