Academy Launch
Over the last 10-15 years, OAs has risen up to the National Leagues, grown the junior section of the club to nearly 1,000 players and has a thriving Ladies section. We are now looking to maximise these successes for the benefit of the players and the future of the club.
We are excited to announce a major new programme for Old Albanian RFC, with the launch of the OAs Academy.
We’re delighted to have been able to bring in a dedicated team, led by Eddie Panting, to focus on the squad and its players. The coaching team will be supported by a number of specialist guest coaches, including those involved in the 1st XV, S&C experts and medical staff.
We will be delivering regular training sessions and matches throughout the year, training camps in addition to tailored on and off field advice for those that are involved, including mentoring opportunities to learn from players within the club.
The Academy will be launching in September and is open to 17 to 23 year olds from within the club, the local area, other local clubs, as well as those away at Universities. Our first session will include a chance to meet those involved, ask questions and hear about the plans, prior to having a run out.
