Old Albanian Saints continued their unbeaten start to the Championship South season with a commanding 5–46 victory away at North Bristol — a result that sends them to the top of the league table.

After a tense opening quarter, Saints’ composure and physicality began to tell. Their dominant scrum once again laid the platform, with the pack generating go-forward ball that allowed the backs to strike with precision. The visitors’ blend of power and pace proved too much for Bristol, who battled gamely but struggled to contain the relentless Saints pressure.

Tries came from across the park, with Ella Broadfield, Shaniah Herelle, Hannah Johnston, Liv Almond, Mererid Jones (2), Katie Johnson and Caroline Collie all crossing the whitewash. Ellie Cunningham added two conversions, while Collie slotted her own from out wide to cap off the scoring.

In a strong all-round team performance, in her first start, Grace Chapman earned Player of the Match honours for her tireless work at the breakdown and relentless effort both sides of the ball.

1XV debutants Jess Taylor and Maisy Herbert both impressed off the bench, while tighthead Kaylee McHugh, in her first start, anchored another powerful showing from the Saints pack.

The result keeps Saints unbeaten after four rounds and moves them to first place in the Championship South standings, continuing their confident defence of the title.

Next up, the Saints return home to Woollams on Sunday 26th October, hosting league newcomers Trojans. The 2XV travel to Sutton Coldfield next Sunday (19th October) in Championship 2 Midlands, currently sitting proudly top of the table.
