What an incredible start to the season it’s been! As we dive deeper into October, our Saints (Women's) teams kicked off on the 5th October with fantastic wins at home , setting a high bar for the season. Our men’s first team has been performing exceptionally well, currently sitting at the top of the National 2 East league with five wins and just one loss!
The weekend of the 4th was truly remarkable, as we had six senior teams in action, and all of them emerged victorious! This achievement is not just about the clean sweep; it highlights our ability to field four senior men’s teams and two senior women’s teams, showcasing the impressive growth of our club. We are immensely proud of what we’ve accomplished together.
The Junior Saints U18s also had a brilliant outing, securing a 24-5 victory against Fullerians in a National cup match, adding to our weekend's fantastic results.
Fast forward to last weekend, and we’re thrilled to report yet another round of impressive results for our senior teams. The men’s first team remains unbeaten at the top of the table after a strong victory over Dorking, finishing 34-21, giving us a comfortable 4-point lead!
Our Saints 1st XV delivered an outstanding performance as well, triumphing over North Bristol with a resounding 46-5 victory.
The Men’s Romans (2nds) shone brightly too, convincingly beating Hertford’s 2nds with a score of 74-38. And let’s not overlook our under-16 boys, who secured a solid league win against Hertford, finishing 24-12.
All in all, it’s been another brilliant weekend for rugby, and the OA’s are feeling very happy! Let’s keep this momentum going as we look forward to the challenges ahead.
