Old Albanian Saints are delighted to congratulate former Junior Saint Amelia MacDougall on her first selection for the senior Red Roses pre-season training squad.

Amelia joins fellow former Junior Saints Kelsey Clifford and Bo Westcombe-Evans in the Senior England set-up, topping off a hugely successful season for the young fly-half who recently lifted the PWR trophy with Saracens.

Amelia’s most recent appearance in maroon, gold and navy came in the 2025 Championship Final at Twickenham, where she helped Saints lift the Championship title in a memorable clash against Richmond. To see her progress from Woollams to the international training environment is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the talent, hard work and dedication that has defined her journey.

A regular fixture in the England junior pathway, representing the Red Roses at both U18 and U20 age grades, MacDougall joins the squad for their first camp since their Six Nations grandslam.

Her selection also provides another powerful reminder of the strength of the Saints pathway. With three players who came through our Junior Saints programme now part of the Red Roses training squad, the journey from the junior section to the very highest levels of the game has never felt more tangible for the next generation coming through at Woollams.

The club would like to extend our huge congratulations to Amelia and her family, whose support has been such an important part of her journey, and to her former Junior Saints coach Craig Ihlenfeldt, who continues to lead the Junior Section.
