U9s get stuck into contact rugby

A great start to the season this morning, with the new U9s enjoying the novelty of a new pitch position and a new style of rugby.

Contact is a big change, but the boys and girls embraced the challenge wholeheartedly and there was lots of impressive play and technique already beginning to emerge. And most importantly, they were enthusiastic, eager to learn and seemed to have a whole lot of fun!

It all bodes well for the season. October will be a very busy month for festivals and fixtures so it won’t be long before all the players can put these new skills into use in a match situation.

Parents – please keep an eye on emails and Teamer for details of forthcoming fixtures and respond with a yes or a no on Teamer by Thursday of each week. This really helps the coaches to keep track.

Here’s to a fantastic season ahead!
