The OA Under 11 Lions won the Land Rover Premiership cup hosted by Saracens at Mill Hill RFC and Allianz Park.  The Lions maintained a perfect record all day without even conceding a try all day, and completed their victory against Braintree in front of more than 7,500 fans at half time of the Saracens v Gloucester Aviva Premiership match.  The Lions received the trophy from Saracens star Nils Mordt and England Under-20 Aaron Morris.

The Lions will represent Saracens at the Land Rover Parade of Champions at the Aviva Premiership final at Twickenham next May.

The Sharks team, consisting of several new players, maintained a 100% record in the group stages, but conceded a late try against Bancroft RFC at the quarter final stage.

OA Chiefs come close to winning Letchworth festival

With the Lions and Sharks involved at Allianz Park, it fell to the Chiefs squad to represent OAs t the Letchworth festival and came within a whisker of winning the cup.

After significant wins against Letchworth A and Datchworth A, they went toe to toe with Hitchin A only to go down 2-1 to a last minute try bundled over by Hitchin’s dangerous (and huge!) star player.

The OA Stormers and Wolfpack also featured in the Plate competition.  While both teams had a tough day, a number of boys played their first ever festival and had a great day.
